Keratorefractive and Laser Surgery
Using Wavefront Technology, our surgeons measure the eyes to create a unique eye map. Then, using those extremely precise measurements gathered during the diagnostic stage, our doctors perform corneal corrections with the excimer laser, restoring peripheral vision and allowing most patients to achieve 20/20 vision or better. The LASIK procedure typically takes less than a half hour.
Implantable Contact Lens Surgery
If you are not a candidate for LASIK, you may qualify for Visian ICL. Patients with extreme myopia (nearsightedness) and chronic dry eye disorders benefit from implant designs that enable higher quality vision and clarity than other corrective devices or glasses.
Contact Lens Assessment
New contact lens designs make it easier than ever before to achieving comfort and clarity without wearing conventional glasses. Diagnostic technology makes it possible to select the most appropriate lens for every patient. During a contact lens evaluation, our doctors use keratometry and eye mapping technology to gather precise corneal measurements. Brands, sizes and styles are recommended based on the unique condition of each patient’s eye.
Diabetic Eye Care
Research studies confirm that vision loss can be delayed or prevented with laser treatments if detected and treated early enough. Patients in Elkton and the surrounding communities seeking to manage diabetic retinopathy have access to highly skilled ophthalmologists equipped with advanced laser technology in our clinic. A comprehensive exam helps our doctors determine if vitrectomy or intra ocular injections are the most appropriate course of action to protect against vision loss. When deemed appropriate, new technology enables our team to perform microsurgical procedures to address previously considered inoperable retina conditions.
